我怀疑我对达明安•赫斯特的观点过于平凡：我喜欢他的作品/我不喜欢他的作品。我发现这个家伙令人喜爱，于是我却没有。然而，我很享受参观他的两个小型 Murderme 私人收藏展。我曾在6年前在伦敦的Serpentine Gallery见过一部分。该展览名为 In the Darkest Hour There May Be Light(最暗时或有光)。一座dressed like an Inuit(穿得像因纽特人)的骨架躺在冰块上，同时，Sarah Lucas为其穿上了Chicken Knickers(小鸡短裤)。该系列在外还有一个展览，但是在都灵，位于 Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli。展览名为Freedom Not Genius(自由而非天才)。艺术家们呈展的方式几乎一样(但艺术作品不同)： Francis Bacon 和 Andy Warhol；Richard Prince 和他的小护士；很多赫斯特的青年英国艺术家朋友；少数Banksy的作品。但也有一些我不记得在伦敦出现过的艺术品：异国动物标本，17世纪 vanitas 画作，老照片和头骨。也有一些我不怎么关心的作品(大部分是Jeff Koons的作品)，有些则惊艳到我(有一件是Jeff Koons的)，更多的是让人振奋。Murderme系列纯属娱乐。死亡被赋予戏剧性，有时甚至是愉快的。艺术家大都是耳熟能详的那些。我觉得这个展览充满让人好奇且迷人的东西，当代艺术世界对我来说既诱人又是完全陌生。

其中一个空间用过去几世纪的头骨展示了各种死亡象征，一个毕加索的头骨和盆，用各种材料装饰的头骨，一件村上隆(显然是我的最爱)的作品，翠儿和大猫的骨架。

Colishaw的“秘密乐园”很可能是整场展览谋杀菲林最多(或者说是被拍摄)的作品了。西洋镜被闪光灯频频照亮，让人幻想起那些人物被赋予生命，孩子们欢乐地向蝴蝶扔石子、压碎蜗牛、打鱼。
